Anna Elizabeth Keener was born in Colorado. and She completed her Bachelor and Master of Fine Art at Bethany College in Kansas where she studied with Birger Sandzen, and Joseph Imhof. She completed additional training at the Art Institute of Chicago, University of New Mexico and the California College of Arts and Crafts. Selected collections include the Panhandle Plains Museum, The Museum of Fine Art New Mexico, and the University of Oklahoma.
