Steven Mopope 1898-1974, was Kiowa, and also was known as Qued Koi, Painted Robe. Steven Mopope's work was featured in the "Five Kiowa Artists" show in Czechoslovakia and his silk screens published in France. He was one of six Native American artists commissioned by the Department of the Interior to paint murals. Select museum collections include Gilcrease, Philbrook, Oklahoma City Museum of Art, Heard Museum Phoenix and the Museum of the American Indian in New York.
