"Masterpieces of the Loom: Navajo Blankets 1860-1900" opens at Noon on February 5th and ends May 5th, 2011. This is the first retrospective by Mark Sublette Medicine Man Gallery of the Navajo blanket weaving period from Classic through Transitionals. The show and sale will include examples of Chiefs blankets, Classic and Late Classic serapes, Germantown weavings, and Transitional weavings. Accompanying the exhibit and sale of 30 Navajo blankets are a select group of Ray Roberts' paintings emphasizing these unique textiles through his artwork.
