This textile is in very good condition; there is some discoloration from ethnographic use. The warp count is 3 and the weft count is 8, per inch. Acquired from a private collection out of Nevada. The owner inherited this from her father's childhood friend, who was born in Canada and died in Santa Barbara at the age of 102 in 2014. She was an equestrian stunt woman in Hollywood during the late '20s, '30s, and '40s. This item was collected by her father and grandfather. Her father was an engineer involved with the Hoover Dam Project, he also dabbled in cinematography. The pieces were put in storage in the 1940s and were still wrapped in original 1940s newspaper.
