The horse sketches drawn by Leonardo Da Vinci influenced much of the equine sculpture of his age and beyond, tho he sculpted few himself. He drew their manes and tails like whirlpool currents or like little tornados of energy, and their muscles like taut springs, giving them incredible vitality.
