"Preparing to perform a feat of daring and skill in a wild west show, this ringlet-tressed cowgirl (c. 1910) slips on her glove with concentration and determination. The four playing card markings on her blouse suggest she is about to enter a game of chance in which she is the wild card. Although this sculpture is not intended to be a portrait-in-bronze of the real Prairie Rose Henderson, who was one of the all-time great bronco and trick riders, it captures the spirit of those early-day cowgirls." - Star York
