We acquired this from a private collection out of Colorado. She had inherited this from Pauline Davis, German heritage, who visited Santa Fe in the 1940-50s and collected works. She owned a lumberyard in Grand Junction. It has been in the same family since then, two generations. The rug is in very good condition. There is some spotting and minor orange color run. It has curled corners, and there is some slight fading. The warp count is 11 per inch, and the weft coun tis 54 per inch.
